REBEL RIDGE TATTOO AFTERCARE GUIDE
Professional healing for long-lasting results.
1. Leave the Bandage On
Keep the bandage or Saniderm on for the amount of time your artist recommended (usually 4–24 hours for bandage, 3–5 days for Saniderm).
Don’t peek or lift corners.
2. First Wash
Once you remove the bandage:
Wash your hands first.
Gently wash the tattoo with warm water + a mild, fragrance-free soap (Dove unscented, Dial gold, or tattoo-safe soap).
Pat dry with a clean paper towel—no rubbing.
3. Moisturize Lightly
Apply a very thin layer of healing ointment (Aquaphor, Hustle Butter, or your preferred studio lotion).
Too much ointment suffocates the tattoo—shine, don’t look “greased.”
4. Days 2–14
Your tattoo will go through stages:
– Peeling / Flaking (like a sunburn)
Totally normal. Don’t pick, scratch, or peel.Let the skin fall off naturally.
– Lightly Moisturize
2–3 times a day with a fragrance-free lotion.
– Keep it Clean
Wash gently once or twice daily.
5. Things to Avoid
For 2 weeks:
No soaking (no swimming, hot tubs, baths).
No gym machines rubbing on the tattoo.
No scratching or picking.
No direct sun.
For 4 weeks:
Avoid tanning beds or heavy sun exposure.
Always apply SPF once healed.
6. Clothing & Sleeping
Wear loose, clean clothing over the tattoo.
Your tattoo may stick to sheets—if it does, wet the fabric first and gently peel off.
7. Touch-Ups
If you need a touch-up after healing, reach out. Touch-ups are free within the window your artist provides.
8. Signs of a Problem
If you see:
Excessive redness spreading outward
Pus or strong odor
Fever or chills
Contact a doctor and message your artist.
